Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive condition assessment of the campus garage at the University of Banja Luka. The assessment methodology included visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT) of concrete using rebound hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity methods, and proof load testing of the primary roof truss. Deformations were monitored using dial gauges, deformeters, and geodetic instruments, specifically laser scanning and digital levels. Numerical modeling was conducted to determine the theoretical deflections of the roof truss, with particular emphasis on the specific characteristics of the bottom chord. The key contribution of this work lies in the comparative analysis of results obtained through different methods and measuring devices. This study aims to enhance the condition assessment of similar structures and provide a framework for the future Code of Practice for Structural Assessment in the Republic of Srpska.
