Abstract

This paper presents an integrated geomatics workflow for the digital documentation of historic sites of incarceration and political repression, focusing on Corfu Prisons, Greece. Using modern geomatics methodologies, the study produces a high-resolution, multi-source dataset that captures the architectural, spatial, and material characteristics of the site. The resulting outputs form the basis for a broader Digital Archive of Memory, designed to support heritage preservation, historical research, and public engagement. The research demonstrates how geomatics can provide rigorous documentation for vulnerable and contested heritage sites, contributing to their long-term protection and interpretive accessibility.
