The focus of this research is the revitalization of Serbia's industrial heritage. The study examines the factors that influence the success or failure of revitalization projects. The aim of the research is to identify which factors are crucial for the successful implementation and sustainability of a revitalization project. The study employs the method of comparative analysis of case studies. Three case studies were analyzed, representing, respectively, a successful revitalization project abroad, an unsuccessful example in Serbia, and a successful example in Serbia. The results indicate that the key factors for the successful implementation of a revitalization project are the institutional factor, the sustainability factor, and the involvement of the local population in the project.
