This paper examines the development of forms in memorial architecture, from prehistoric structures to abstract monuments. It demonstrates how basic patterns such as circular structures, pyramidal forms, and simple geometric shapes have established enduring principles in memorial design. Over time, these forms have evolved under the influence of religion, politics, and aesthetic movements, shifting from symbolic representation toward more abstract expressions. Such development indicates that the form of a memorial is not merely an aesthetic choice, but an important carrier of meaning through which collective memory is shaped and transmitted.
