Abstract

In the paper, a layerwise formulation of cross-laminated-timber (CLT) - concrete composites (CCC) is presented. A partial shear interaction between concrete and CLT is incorporated by using distributed elastic springs in the CLT-concrete interface. A linear discontinuous layerwise interpolation of displacement components through the thickness is imposed to account for layerwise kinematics with partial shear connection. The model accuracy is demonstrated against the available data in the literature, using benchmark examples including both static and dynamic analysis, and excellent agreement is obtained with computational cost savings.
